Position Summary:

 

The Lead Development Rep is a mid-level sales position that is responsible for the initial phases of the JLA Jet Card Membership sales process which includes identifying and qualifying prospects. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Discover qualified leads through telephone canvassing, cold calling, direct mail, email and other networking opportunities
  • Research and identify industries and/or vertical markets that contain companies and individuals that are candidates for JLA Jet Card Membership
  • Research and identify specific companies and individuals and acquire contacts from those companies that are prospects for JLA Jet Card Membership.
  • Qualify prospective companies and candidates that are prospects for JLA Jet Card Membership
  • Determine the potential of identified prospects and direct those prospects to the correct sales representative/resource for advancement in the sales cycle.
  • Develop, execute, and manage sales prospecting campaigns to generate qualified prospects.
  • Work with sales management and sales team to identify potential industries, vertical markets, companies, and individuals that may be candidates for JLA Jet Card Membership
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow up activities
  • Be a positive contributing member of the Jet Linx team
  • Participate in staff meetings
  • Become knowledgeable of and uphold company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience dialing 50 people per day.
  • Demonstrated experience using the phone to gather information to facilitate a contact with the true prospect.
  • Demonstrated experience in researching and finding information from different sources, primarily on the Internet.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to work with minimal direction after a project and goals have been identified.
  • Coachable and has a strong desire to learn and develop sales skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and multiple objectives at the same time.
  • Must be able to work well with others and fit into a team environment.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Prior success in internet researching/data mining
  • High School diploma or equivalent; progressing towards advanced degree preferred
  • Willing to consider equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Majority of work is completed in a normal office work environment
  • Effectively communicate through verbal, written and/or electronic means
  • Operate office equipment such as telephone, computer, printer, scanner, fax, postage meter, etc.
  • Move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis
