General responsibilities of the position: Within P&WC, the Turbomachinery Engineering group is responsible for the design and analysis of compressors, combustors, turbines and gearboxes. Our responsibilities span from pre-detail design to field support. You will be part of a team of specialists in mechanical design of turbomachinery components.
Specific responsibilities of position: -Design mechanical systems for new engines;
-Plan, schedule and coordinate design and analytical activities;
-Lead multidisciplinary teams during the design phase;
-Solve mechanical design problems on existing engines;
-Produce engineering documents to communicate solutions to mechanical design problems.
Qualifications required: -Bachelors or master’s degree with up to 2 years’ experience;
-Understanding of engineering drawings;
-Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, teamwork;
-Willingness to learn and share knowledge;
-Solid Business judgment with a focus on results.
