Responsible for reviewing internal project documentation and third party contracts to evaluate accounting treatment and compare to budgetary assumptions. This position will play a key role in implementing improvements in tracking of costs throughout the IT asset life cycle from asset creation, tracking of maintenance costs and oversight of assets for retirement as part of a larger IT finance digital transformation where we are working to shift from being a 'business partner' providing financial and accounting support to becoming a true 'value enabler'.
Manage databases to track annual capital budgeting allocations and forecasting and provide IT leadership with accurate reporting and progress tracking. Identify opportunities to automate routine reporting and data collection tasks and partner with our Reporting and BI team to build standardized reporting and processes.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Build strong relationship with project delivery and sourcing teams within Delta
- Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management
- Provide guidance to Reporting and BI professionals to improve accuracy and automation of reporting capabilities
Bachelor's degree with concentration in finance, business administration, or accounting plus 3 years relevant finance experience is required, with preference for experience supporting IT. A CPA or CMA would be a plus. Must have excellent organizational skills, strong detail orientation, a strong accounting and internal controls acumen and the ability to build partnerships across the enterprise. Must be innovative, proactive, flexible, analytical, and have strong work ethic to provide credible and quality work products.
