Because of a strategic commitment, United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) created the Electronic Systems Center (ESC) headquartered in scenic Phoenix, AZ. Thee ESC supports a wide variety of UTAS aerospace products with state-of-art engineering development, testing, and production facilities and expertise. The ESC team designs, tests, builds, and supports electronic control units and systems for primary flight control systems, high-lift systems, electronic and hydraulically actuated brake control systems, and many other products for all parts of the United Technologies Enterprise.

Internships are for students who prefer shorter work periods, usually three months during the summer. A formal agreement is not required with the school. The company's goal is to relate employment opportunities to the student's academic majors to ensure maximum productivity for all parties involved. The goal of the Intern program is to enhance the student's academic training, professional growth, and personal development.
Assist the ESC Leadership team with various IT and ITC tasks such as SharePoint, metrics, reporting, corrective action tracking and special projects.
Establish a SharePoint site for the ESC that accounts for access and entitlement concerns for various US and non-US personnel
Manage and track correct actions due dates, audits reports and updating SharePoint site with objective evidence of completion
Assist/Lead the clean-up of obsolete documents, archives and organization of project files maintained on internal servers
Assist/Lead the access inventory for the ESC secured internal drive, SharePoint, etc. defining procedures for this inventory
SAP/GTS and xclass download reports to Excel and then establish macros for assisting in the defining of classification consistency issues
File organization (electronic and paper) and support special projects as needed
Good oral and written skills
Proficient in SharePoint and MS Office suite
IT support and/or ITC familiarity
Familiar with engineering organization
Self-driven individual with high initiative
Able to work independently
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work 15-20 hours a week
Must be a U.S. Person
Education: Degree Requirement: Currently enrolled in sophomore college level education program or higher with a minimum of 3.0 GPA. Must have at 48 credits completed.
