Intern Crew and Values Relations

Position Summary

The Intern is responsible for general support of day-to-day functions for the Crew Relations and Values Relations Teams, as well as maintenance and enhancement of internal processes and data entry of sensitive information into central repositories. The Intern should possess a strong interest or seek a career in Human Resources. All activities performed by this position will be in direct support of JetBlue’s People Department.

Essential Responsibilities

* Assists with the revision and documentation of policies, processes and procedures
* Coordinates and manages travel, expenses and schedules in support of People Leadership
* Supports the migration of historical data from SharePoint into a new case management platform
* Assists with the preparation and coordination of People led Long Island City (LSC) events
* Serves as a team member on other projects or conducts activities based on expertise and development goals, including process identification, and SharePoint development and management
* Analyzes data and disseminates outcomes to appropriate stakeholders
* Supports the LSC Generalist with Exit Interviews and LSC new hire onboarding
* Assists with the scanning and filing of personnel records
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field
* General understanding of data collection and analysis methodologies
* Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
* Ability to plan, execute and manage projects
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

* Master’s Degree in Human Resources, or related field, preferred
* Experience in Human Resources, or related field, preferred

Crewmember Expectations:

* Regular attendance and punctuality
* Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
* Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
* Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
* Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
* Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
