UTAS is currently seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) (cybersecurity) professional who will oversee Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) and manage all classified information programs at the facility (Special and/or Collateral) to ensure compliance with applicable U.S. government IS security requirements. This IS security manager will report directly to the Manager, Gov’t Security Compliance.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Interpret government security directives to determine technical Information Assurance (IA) requirements and prepare System Security Plans and required artifacts;
* Manage and mentor ISSOs and their career development;
* Monitor classified systems to ensure they are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with appropriate corporate and U.S. government cybersecurity policies and procedures;
* Develop and update appropriate system documentation artifacts under the Risk Management Framework (RMF);
* Provide security oversight for Standalones, LANs and WANs to include performing vulnerability assessments and the development of moderate scope/complexity network architectures. Conduct IA security education training for all system users on appropriate risk mitigation strategies;
* Provide initial and on-going technical security support regarding system architectures, infrastructure, Assessment & Authorization (A&A) requirements and training;
* Perform IA self-inspections to measure regulatory compliance. Perform weekly system auditing, media reviews, hardware/software configuration management, certification/decertification of systems and developing hardware and software approval letters for government approval;
* Perform data integrity containments and investigations on IA related security violations/incidents and report in accordance with Manager, Govt Security Compliance direction, corporate policies and procedures, and U.S. government compliance requirements;
* Publicize and maintain security directives, policies and procedures;
* Partner and coordinate with internal and external customers and security peers;
* Foster positive relationships with Contract/Program Management to fulfill the requirements of classified programs;
* Support internal projects and programs, including continuous process improvement initiatives and back-up support or management of internal systems;
* Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
* Manage and perform personnel security clearance, classified visit and security education awareness processes;
* Willingness to submit to a polygraph examination;


Basic Qualifications:

* At least 7-10 years’ experience in IT security and/or system administration in a Windows and/or Linux client/server networked environment;
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a CISSP or other baseline information security certification identified in DoD 8570.01-M within 6 months of start date;
* Must possess an maintain active U.S. government security clearance at the Secret level or higher and SAP Access;
* US Citizen due to program requirements;

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in an information assurance related capacity under the U.S. government JSIG, ICD 503, NIST SP 800-series Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines and/or other applicable government directives;
* Experience with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), or other system hardening and compliance or vulnerability assessment tools used to enforce security policies;
* Experience with network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, routing, and common ports, protocols, and services;
* Proficient in JPAS and eQIP data bases;

Education: Bachelors in IT or systems administration.
