UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) is a global leader in the design and manufacture of a variety of aerospace products. Working for the Sensors & Integrated Systems (SIS) division, based in Burnsville, MN as an Import/Export Administrator. In this role you will ensure all U.S. and country requirements are met on import and export shipments. Prepare documentation for all export shipments. Prepare necessary import documents to send to freight forwarder. Instruct shipping with customer marking and crating requirements. Determine best forwarder. Monitor performance of company-appointed forwarders on freight contract agreements. Review import classifications on all imports and recommend most appropriate classifications for duty.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Education: Associates of Arts or a Technical degree.
Aerospace industry experience.
Import or export experience.
