Role Summary:
The 2nd Shift Flow Leader provides supervisory support for FBM Operations on 2nd Shift in areas of responsibility. Performs the daily operations of area of responsibility to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. The 2nd Shift Flow Leader position requires an understanding of manufacturing and engineering concepts, methods and procedures (technical Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent).

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, as the 2nd Shift Flow Leader, you will:

* Provide oversight and leadership for front-line manufacturing (hourly) employees on 2nd shift, including: executing to goals with respect to:

* safety

* quality

* cost

* production

* and compliance

* and coach teams to be accountable / take ownership of these goals to meet customer requirements

* Encourage an environment of continuous improvement for all assigned products / processes

* Coordinate with team(s) on process / product improvement and provide process method excellence within and outside of the team

* Provide technical, quality and production leadership to assigned team to assist in resolving problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent

* Work across the Rutland organization to support shop metrics, including direct reports, peers, Business Leaders, Plant Leader, and support organizations

* Maintain positive employee relations by working with employees to resolve employee relations issues and concerns involving HR when needed

* Ensure fair and consistent application of company and departmental policies and practices

* Assess employee training and development needs, and build/execute training plans for assigned area to address gaps

* Assess the maturity of the team, and adjust leadership style to enhance team performance

* Flexibility in schedule to work a 2nd shift position


* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)


* Ability and willingness to work a 2nd shift position
