Job Description

Executive Jet Management (EJM) is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Fleet Optimization Manager to join our dynamic team of aviation professionals, located at our facility in Columbus, Ohio.

Position Summary:

  • Build, maintain and adjust the schedule for all Special Pricing Program (Cabin Class, Flat Rate, City Pair) bookings. This is accomplished through on-fleet and vendor sourcing of aircraft that meet the itinerary criteria, account criteria, and EJM financial expectations. The continual evaluation and adjustment of the schedule to accommodate for itinerary changes, delays, new fleet options, etc. is required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients in order to provide excellent account management for assigned accounts. This includes facilitating all communications regarding finance, maintenance, flight ops, training, trip planning, or any other issues that come up in the course of EJM managing the client's aircraft. This position is the one point of contact for assigned accounts when it comes to communicating with EJM and will oversee any interactions the managed client has with the various departments within EJM for completion and accuracy.
  • Seek, obtain and communicate all approval requests received for assigned accounts.
  • Monitors email and phone activity both during and outside of working hours and responds as appropriate. Elevates urgent issues to department leadership.
  • Applies detailed knowledge of the services provided by EJM and a general understanding of the various aircraft and their operational capabilities. Maintains cross-departmental knowledge of the client's account which includes Fleet Maintenance, Accounting, Crew Training and Flight Operations.
  • Provides options to aircraft schedulers, ensuring the feasibility of these options. Coordinates with Dispatchers to verify regulations and duty day limitations. Monitors changes to trip scheduling and the resulting implications to the overall operation of the aircraft. Knowledgeable of crew schedule (training, vacation, etc.). Briefs crews for domestic Part 91 flights.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, business, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' aviation, business or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communicator and listener.
  • Possesses good judgment, strong collaborative skills, and the ability to navigate and influence across different functions in an organization.
  • Creative and "outside the box" thinker.
  • Ability to make well thought out, and defined decisions and the ability to effectively communicate those decisions to the intended audience.
