The Production Control Specialist is an energetic, experienced individual who manages inventory programs and accuracy, assists the inventory Buyer/Planner with the development, implementation, and maintenance of the procedures and protocols in regard to proper inventory control. They will also assist the Production Supervisor with miscellaneous administrative duties including but not limited to corresponding with the staffing agency, maintaining training records, coordinating annual training schedules, etc.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure all inventory transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner daily.
• Responsible for the overall inventory accuracy.
• Responsible for generating, distributing, and reconciling daily cycle counts.
• Determine root cause of cycle count discrepancies, and create robust processes to alleviate.
• Assist with the annual physical inventory
• Show ability to solve complex problems individually and quickly
• Strong written communication skills for the creation of reports
• PC proficiency and understanding of information systems, Oracle system a plus. Report regularly recommendations for better inventory control.
• Kan Ban analysis and implementation
• Obsolescence review and disposition
• Handling correspondence with staffing agency regarding new job orders, time sheet approvals, attendance issues etc.
• Communicating with employees regarding PTO availability and scheduling conflicts.
• Monitor and help maintain 6S procedures in the manufacturing area.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Must have background that includes knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
Knowledge of raw materials and production scheduling
Knowledge of quality control programs, planning and organizing
Attention to detail, decision-making
Strong communication skills.
High School diploma, and 3 plus years of previous experience in a manufacturing, inventory control environment.
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.
Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.

Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
