Role Summary:
The EPISCenter System Test Manager - Power will lead and drive the team responsible for developing / deriving test requirements, test plans, procedures, reports, designing and building custom test equipment / fixtures, ATE (Automated Test Equipment), BITE (Built in Test) Equipment, verification, qualification, reliability, and endurance testing of the aerospace power system or sub systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

The EPISCenter System Test Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

In addition you will :

* Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned program tasks and personnel

* Provide engineering oversight of multiple projects

* Prepare cost estimates and proposal inputs

* Provide technical expertise in testing

* Lead and drive test team responsible to execute from start to finish, which includes developing test requirements management, test plans, procedures, reports, execution of test plans, and the evaluation of test results

* Direct and supervise team for design and build of Custom Test Equipment for aerospace power system or sub systems

* Lead and drive verification, qualification, reliability, and endurance testing of the aerospace power system or sub systems

* Provide support council and recommendations to section management

* Establish work group goals within framework of section technical and financial objectives

* Maintain broad awareness of efforts within group to assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needs

* Facilitate communication of technical and business information between organizations and within work group

* Communicate with management on technical, organizational, resource, and personnel issues

* Define roles and responsibilities for assigned personnel

* Conduct performance appraisals and participate in salary planning

* Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback, coaching, and counseling

* Ensure company compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented within work group

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university

* Minimum of 8 years of experience in a lab, program, or project or functional leadership role within an engineering environment

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

* This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Desired Characteristics:

* Effective team building and project management ability

* Supervisory experience in a project management capacity in an aircraft power system lab

* Experience in qualification and certification of power system / sub-systems in commercial / military aircraft power system lab and conformed test setup

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

* Knowledge of electrical & mechanical design and assembly procedures
