Sargent Aerospace & Defense

PURPOSE & SCOPE:

The Engineering Systems Administrator II is responsible for support, maintenance, and development of the engineering centric software and computer hardware used for the design, development, and manufacture of Sargent’s highly engineered products.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Includes all of Engineering Systems Administrator I duties.
* Level 2 tech support duties – involving software/hardware tech support, if required.
* Engineering software license management.
* Monitoring budget for engineering software maintenance.
* Windchill Business/Server Administrator duties.
* Programming requests related to Windchill (Java, HTML, XML).
* Programming requests related to improving manufacturing processes.
* Specifying/suggesting engineering specific hardware/software.
* Generate Capital Expense Request documentation.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Ability to ensure that commitments to both internal and external customers are met by following up on requests.
* Able to communicate issues clearly both orally and in writing. Ability to function in a team environment by establishing cooperative working relationships with peers and co-workers.
* Able to lift and move object that weigh up to 50 lbs.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
* Associates of Applied Science (AAS) in Computer Science or related field, plus 2-4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable work knowledge and abilities have been acquired.
* Basic Level 2 tech support troubleshooting experience.
* Windchill Business/Server Administrator experience.
* Two years of programming experience.
* MS Office proficiency, including basic office equipment (printer, scanner, copier, etc.)
* Knowledge of modern office procedures and etiquette. Working knowledge of English usage, grammar, punctuation, and formatting business documents. Ability to exercise good judgement and initiative within scope of responsibilities.
* Moderately complex typing and word processing skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions. Excellent organizational skills.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen

PREFERRED JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
* Experience with Engineering, Manufacturing, and/or Quality
* Experience with Aerospace or Marine products
* Experience with SyteLine
* Experience with OnBase
