We currently have openings in The Boeing Company's Satellite Capability organization for early career electronic packaging and product design engineers who are interested in designing future generations of satellite electronics. Primary responsibilities will be tasks related to the packaging design of state-of-the art electronics for space-based applications. Activities and duties will include conceptual design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, and design verification. Technical support for production and test of space-qualified hardware is also part of this position. Ideally, academic and/or coop/intern experience should include exposure to mechanical design and theory as well thermal and structural design principles. Early career engineers work under supervision and mentoring by more experienced engineers in a team-oriented environment.
Typical Experience and Education
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
