This position is located at FlightSafety Visual Display Systems in the fun city of Austin Texas! We are a company specializing in the design, development, and build of high fidelity visual systems used in commercial and military aviation programs. Our VITAL visual systems are integrated into complex fixed base and full six degree of freedom motion based simulator training systems and provides the images pilots see out of their windows during simulated flight. Visual Systems has been an industry leading developer and manufacturer of real-time 3D graphics systems for more than 40 years!
In-house and onsite manufacture and preparation of display system components for use in visual display systems. Manufacture includes using a variety of hand and power tools to fabricate components from raw materials or unassembled parts.
Assists visual system engineers in set up of complete visual display systems.
Assists in the disassembly, preparation, packaging and shipping of equipment.
Assists visual system engineers in testing and quality assurance of display system components, assemblies and equipment; and prototype development and testing of new products.
Responsible for cleaning the tools and equipment, and production facility in readiness for assembly and testing; organizes tools, work areas, equipment, materials and supplies to present an efficient and orderly facility. Also performs routine facility maintenance.
Assists with on-site installations at customer sites worldwide. Domestic and International travel required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED required.
