This is recruitment for a Director of Flight Standards working within the Flight Operations
Department for Ravn Connect (Hageland Aviation). This is a full time, benefit eligible
position based in Anchorage, Alaska.
Minimum Qualifications: Three years of Part 135 or 121 flying experience. Previous Part 135 Company
Instructor or Check Airman experience preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for the implementation, coordination and monitoring of the Ravn
Connect Flight Standards Programs. Develop a flight standards manual, systems manual, maneuvers and
procedures manual, and in some cases a Quick Reference Handbook for each individual aircraft types. Oversee the
content of each of these manuals as well as implementing a process to see that the manuals are being followed.
Conduct a yearly review of each of these manuals to assure their validity and accuracy.
Participate in the selection and training of company instructors and check airman. Together, with the Director of
Training, participate in the development and surveillance of the training and checking of pilots to assure that all
pilots meet company and FAA standards. Work with the Chief Pilot to observe the conduct of at least one check ride
per year with each check airman. Take an active role in participating in the company safety reporting system and
the ASAP program.
