Delta Air Lines is seeking a Director of IT for HR Systems. The director must have the ability to respond to unplanned events including consulting with customers, managing crisis situations which need a leadership decision, and clearing roadblocks for projects. They will drive and support the alignment of information technology and business systems across the HR enterprise.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the technology supporting Delta's Human Resources department which includes SAP, SuccessFactors, employee travel systems, and Delta's employee portals
- Successful delivery of new technology across HR including on-time and on budget delivery of capital investment
- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with all business partners (both internal and external), establish a team that will work effectively with the business units to understand and adequately translate business requirements and manage project scope, implementation timelines, and customer expectations
- Manage the budget for operational support and projects including forecasting, cost tracking, variance management
- Monitor departmental metrics for problems and trends in order to determine solutions, required process changes, and resource allocations that will make the function more efficient
- Manage all aspects of employees' overall performance, including coaching, mentoring, and professional development

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?
- BS/BA with 15 or more years of experience in an IT project-based environment, or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training. This experience should include extensive experience with SAP HR and SuccessFactors functionality in addition to business systems analysis, application design, development, installation, and support across multiple hardware and software platforms
- The ideal candidate will have an MBA or other advanced degree with strong leadership skills and a track record of developing people and achieving challenging objectives
- History of successful delivery of large projects with high complexity
- Effective understanding and ability to navigate capital allocation process
- Ability to produce in ambiguous situations, with minimal direct guidance
- Must be comfortable and effective in interacting with all levels of leaders throughout the company
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills required
