SUMMARY:

The Director of Government Compliance will serve as a key player to the Company on all matters concerning effective compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and other U.S. Government requirements. The Director will also liaison with our business unit leadership to coordinate compliance activities across the organization. Coordination and support activities extend throughout entire government contracting process including assistance with initial proposals and extending through contract execution and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Management of Defense Contract Administration Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) relationships on behalf of Company

* Proactively supporting our business units in ensuring that our internal policies, business systems, and procedures are adequate to comply with CAS, FAR, and other government requirements

* Oversight for all government approved systems such as procurement

* Ensure appropriate support for government audits and other inquiries

* Responsible for the preparation and submission of incurred cost submissions, disclosure statements, and other government filings

* Monitor changes to contractual and regulatory obligations as well as industry shifts and best practices

* Perform periodic site audits at various Company locations

* Identify, communicate, and implement opportunities to improve controls and operational processes

* Provide education and training to various levels of Company management in government contracting and accounting compliance

* Demonstrate a confident and well-developed communication style, both written and spoken, that establishes credibility and facilitates clear understanding of issues and influence change where appropriate

* Participate in a variety of special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; MBA or Master’s Degree in Accounting required.

* Minimum of eight years of government accounting and reporting experience

* Must be a US person (US citizen, US permanent resident or individual with protected status) due to US export control laws and regulations

* Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills

* Strong problem-solving abilities with sound judgment and decision-making
