POSITION TITLE: SALES DIRECTOR
SUMMARY: Support airlines by
leading the Business Unit in delivering the growth goals identified by the company for their core business – airport and airline ground handling.
Provide effective and energetic leadership to the Business Unit to drive sales, maintain and increase profit, margin, and customer satisfaction. This position will report to the Vice President, Sales and Business Development, with a dotted line to the
regional business unit leaders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures a safe work environment by following all ATS rules and regulations regarding the workplace.
Setting sales plans, budgets, objectives, strategies and initiatives to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the business unit, and ensure the maximum sales volume and maximum
direct margin and net income contribution.
Developing and coaching indirect reports to effectively support key customer relationships. Provide effective performance management via the establishment of objectives, measurement
and feedback relative to those performance objectives.
Providing day-to-day leadership and direction to the Business Unit members in maintaining and expanding customer relationships and meeting revenue and margin goals within the
business unit. Develop strong customer relationships directly with key strategic accounts. Assist in prospecting, developing, and closing new account sales.
Proactively identifying and effectively addressing operational issues/challenges that negatively affect business performance.
Assisting the VP, Sales and Business Development in developing business strategy and key business initiatives relative to the core business.
Other duties and requirements as necessary.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
An undergraduate degree from an accredited university in a relevant field, such as business or marketing. MBA is a plus.
Must pass a drug test and background check.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to use close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Minimum of 5+ years of B2B sales experience within services vs. products industry.
2+ years of sales management experience
Proven ability to develop, maintain and grow key customer relationships at the C-suite level.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, develops, coach and retains talented professionals whether as direct reports or indirect reports. Proven success in leading account teams.
Demonstrated leadership talent, with the ability to motivate all levels of employees by virtue of keen business acumen, excellent judgment, professional competence, credibility, flexibility, and personal
integrity. Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to inspire trust and confidence with employees at all levels.
Strong ability to execute against strategy, with an eye towards cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction. Proven success in managing, organizing and/or completing multiple tasks and priorities.
Creativity and resourcefulness, with a bias toward well-informed action. Strong problem solving ability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with technology (i.e. Microsoft Office Applications, Web-based technologies).
LOCATION/SPECIFIC WORKING HOURS:
Location – ATS Headquarters, St. Louis, MO preferred
Must be able to work extended hours on short notice.
Ability to travel 50% of the time is required.
