The Digital Controls group is seeking an entry level Control Systems Engineer with expertise in advanced control system design and strong background in modeling and simulation. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the thermodynamics and fluid dynamics of pneumatic, liquid, and/or vapor cycle systems. A successful candidate must be capable of designing, verifying and validating the control systems for highly integrated Air Management Systems (e.g. Environmental Control, Engine Bleed Air, Air Distribution, Liquid and Vapor Cycle Systems, and Gas Inerting Systems).
The candidate will play a key role in the system design and development from customer specification through aircraft test and certification. The candidate must have knowledge of model based design process and be capable of executing the core tasks of control system architecture trade studies, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), component requirements decomposition, algorithm development and closed loop control design, validation of dynamic system models, and the validation and verification of controller designs through certification.

Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field with 2 years of experience or Advanced Engineering Degree with 0-2 years experience.
* Fundamental understanding of control system design and verification
* Experience with modeling and simulation tools
* Fundamental understanding of laboratory test equipment
* Proficiency with MS Office products, Synergy, Clearcase/Clearquest, Labview, and/or DOORS preferred.
* Candidate must be a US person
BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
