Direct and support the release and execution of the production MPP plans, monitoring adherence to schedule and driving recoveries where necessary.
Ensure MP&C process coherence and effectiveness across the CoE plants.
Co-ordinate the Working Capital Reduction activity for the UK CoE plants, aligning processes, supporting and instigating initiatives and policies, to improve inventory control and optimisation.
Project deployment. In conjunction with the CoE plants, identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the businesses. Prioritise, schedule and launch the projects, monitoring progress and effectiveness.
Key Responsibility Areas
MP&C Processes. Monitor the effectiveness of processes and in conjunction with the stakeholders, identify improvements. Manage improvement initiatives, to create effective solutions that follow best practice. Present project status; progress to plan, opportunities, actions, risks and issues for escalation.
Manage MPP flow down, coordinating verification of feasibility with CoE's, in terms of; lead-times, capability, material availability and capacity. In conjunction with the stakeholders, assess risks, impacts and criticalities that could affect the plan, and resolve or mitigate.
Within the context of the CoE's, deploy planning & control policies steered by Integrated Planning, managing their effective implementation and execution across all the UK CoE's,
Monitor; production progress; delivery performances and inventory coverage of the CoE plants, in order to ensure the achievement of; the MPP, spares requirements and targets for inventory.
Support the CoE's and AFC in assessing inventory budgets and quarterly forecast for hours and materials. Monitor progress and analyse deviations from the budget, pursuing recovery actions. Support the production of the 5 years inventory budget Plan.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required
Educated at higher level and/or with relevant experience in subjects related to the key aspects of the function. Those aspects being; material planning, project planning, process governance and improvement, data analysis.
Understanding of MRP with practical experience.
Knowledge and understanding of the relevant business flows, in terms of; bid phase, contract award and flow down, material planning, production and through life support.
Practitioner level of knowledge in a least one of the relevant modules of the ERP system is essential, with a good general knowledge of the overall system.
Competency above a basic level with the following software systems; MS Excel, SAP BW, with a working knowledge of MS Access and VBA, desirable.
Good communicator with a conscientious approach and the ability to relay concepts and conclusions in a compelling and effective way, to experts and non-experts at all levels.
Ability to understand and quantify work content, to prioritise tasks and execute appropriately.
Proven background in effective problem solving, with experience in process improvement techniques and tools.
