Our Communications Specialist Supervisor provides on-shift oversight, coaching, and support in addition to being able to perform all of the routine expected Communications Specialist duties.
Duties and Responsibilities

•Assists in clinical relationship management plans, service recovery efforts and opportunity assessments as needed
•Assists in maintaining a constant state of regulatory readiness
•Monitors applicable minimums and standards (licenses, competencies, training, equipment, policies, practice guidelines etc.) within the portfolio scope, population and expected outcomes
•Continually drives excellence through process improvement, initial and continuing education, data analysis and regulatory achievements
•Collaborates across disciplines to drive success and enhance outcomes
•Provides “in the moment” coaching to the on-duty shift of Communications Specialists to reinforce quality standards and expected workflows.
•Have knowledge of applicable sections of the Federal Aviation Administration regulations including Operational Control procedures
•Ability to rapidly and accurately relay flight request to appropriate transport resource.
•Participates in on-going staff development, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills.
•Promotes a focus on patient and crew safety.
•Assesses need for and rapidly initiates post accident incident plan (PAIP).
•Clear, concise radio communications using appropriate radio etiquette which complies with FCC regulations.
•Is a resource helping to develop teammates within FlightCom
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in an EMS/911/Aviation dispatching work environment or two years of work experience as an EMT or Paramedic in a 911 or hospital environment.
•Ability to remain calm during highly stressful situations
•Ability to adapt and respond appropriately to evolving work demands
•Leadership experience in the dispatching work environment
•NAACS, IAMTCS Certification or industry accepted equivalent (perferred)
•Emergency Medical Dispatch certification (perferred)
•EMT-B, or Paramedic certification (preferred)
•Proficient in any industry accepted dispatch software. (preferred)
Working Conditions and Physical Environment
Hourly; 12 hour shifts. Night, weekends, and holidays as in the rotation.
