This 2018 Fall Co-Op position begins in August, 2018 and runs through December, 2018. (This is not a summer internship.)
As an Environmental Health and Safety Co-Op in Danbury, CT, your day-to-day activities can involve significant interaction with other functional groups including engineering, manufacturing and quality, allowing for additional broad learning opportunities. You will work with both our internal EHS staff and external resources. You will benefit from working side by side with a talented and experienced group of professionals eager to mentor. You may work in both lab and office environments. You may be exposed to chemicals and solvents, and may be required to move throughout the facility. You will be required to wear appropriate PPE if needed. At the end of the co-op term, you will be asked to deliver a presentation to the leadership team, to discuss your experience and contributions.
Housing stipends are offered to those who qualify.
* Experience in inspections and assessments, data collection and analysis and general EHS experience is preferred but not required
* Student should have completed general chemistry classes
* Ability to work independently and learn in a fast paced environment
* Teamwork and collaboration
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Minimum 3.0 GPA
* US Citizenship required / single citizenship only

Must be a full time student and have completed at least your sophomore year towards a Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Occupational Health and Safety. (Other areas of study such as Environ-mental Science; Environmental or Chemical Engineering or Chemistry may be considered).
