Leading Defense Aerospace Precision Machine Company is looking to add several Screw Machinist to their team in Seattle.

MUST have 10+ years of experience with Citizen Screw Machines. Programming is a PLUS!

1st and 2nd shift openings.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

*

Responsible for set-up of first part on machine as assigned by Supervisor:

*

Set up and run the first part after completion of machine set up.

*

Verify program is stable and part is within tolerance for run.

*

Verify all set up documentation is correct and adequate for part run.

*

Responsible for Quality Assurance.

*

Work with Programming and ME departments with Shop Supervisor’s guidance to assure correct work orders, programs and documents.

*

Proficient at reading and understanding machine programming and help trouble shoot basic production problems.

*

During times when you are not assigned a set-up or performing production or as assigned by Shop Supervisor; spot check parts and work on training issues with operators. Act as a mentor to other operators in the shop by providing direction on dee burr, blending, part checking procedures and efficiency. Provide feedback to the Shop Supervisor.

*

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

*

Clean the machine at the end of each shift. Organized all parts and tools for the job for the next shift.

*

Other responsibilities as directed by the Shift Supervisor.

Required Skills:

*

10+ years on Citizen Screw Machines: twin spindle, multi-axis

*

Ability to read precision measuring instruments.

*

Ability to read shop production blueprints.

*

Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.

*

Ability to follow directions during production and follow all safety protocols.

*

Advanced understanding of machine set-up.

*

Blueprint training course.

Reporting Relationships:

The CNC Machinist will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
