Leads capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts; or task order business. Develops capture strategy including business solution for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers; competitive assessments; teaming suppliers; and prices-to-win; participates in bid and proposal activities. Maintains on-going interaction with marketing.
A background in military aerospace maintenance and modification or commercial aerospace manufacturing industry is required, as is an existing relationship with military or commercial aerospace customers.
Proven ability to perform capture team leader and proposal manager duties as assigned.
A demonstrated history in briefing significant decision makers and leading informal work place teams, building a rapport and influencing decisions is required.
A broad base of customer experience working with DOD, USAF, USN, US Army, Defense Prime Contractors and their international equivalents is required.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous process improvement principles and their application to business and proposal development.
A working knowledge of DOD program environment, to include FAR, ITAR and DSS requirements is required.
ERP and advanced Power Point skills.
Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall quality and efficiency.

Bachelor’s Degree with at least ten (10) years’ experience in the manufacturing, aircraft maintenance and modification market or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience. Master’s Degree is preferred.
Formal Shipley Associates or Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) proposal management / development training is preferred.
Proficient with applications of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Express.
Possess knowledge of most general office machines.
Knowledge of an ERP System and Microsoft Project are desirable.
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work any shift, overtime, weekends and flexible hours as required.
Physical Requirements: Will work in a manufacturing/assembly environment. May work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects or parts, and/or operation of machines and/or assembly of fabricated parts at close distance to the eyes. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands or fingers.
