Branch Coordinator

Transat’s mission is to brighten everyday with the joy of vacations. The incumbent will contribute to the attainment of operational objectives in his or her sector by performing the tasks assigned. Collaborates with colleagues and demonstrates adaptability to change; is tolerant, receptive, and listens to others and to customers. The incumbent will be accountable for coordinating administrative tasks as well as selling vacation travel and ensuring a follow up on them.


Administrative and Coordination tasks:

* Ensure banking is done;

* Order office supplies;

* Ensure brochures are ordered and in stock;

* Manage petty cash (purchase of stamps);

* Ensure office maintenance is updated as required;

* Ensure Marketing POP is displayed;

* Oversee compliance with support of the Regional Manager, if necessary;

* Process commission cheques and send to accounting;

* Scan supplier invoices payable by head office and send them by e-mail;

* Prepare employee schedules to ensure that branch opening hours are respected.

Operational tasks

* Ability to generate revenue, meet established monthly and yearly sales and revenue targets;

* Communicate confidently and enthusiastically to advise clients on travel options offered by our various partners to close sales;

* Research and book travel products using our website; Apollo; Consul PC; Galileo Vacations and the internal reservations systems;

* Be alert to changing trends, customer needs, and be able to adapt the services to the client’s needs;

* Gain successful sales results;

* Actively solicit and promote new travel business;

* Prepare complex itineraries with a mix of products;

* Sell travel packages in all product categories with a clear emphasis on the TDC preferred supplier strategy;

* Coordinate and participate in all branch activities and events.


* Tourism diploma;

* English written and spoken, French an asset;

* Knowledge of Apollo, Consul PC and Galileo Vacations reservation systems or the equivalent;

* Coordination skills: an asset;

* 3 years of experience in a similar position.
