BA CityFlyer is the leading airline bringing business and leisure customers into the heart of London via its main base at London City Airport. We are seeking a Technical Engineer – Powerplant based at our Head Office, Didsbury, Manchester.
Are you a Powerplant Engineer with an airline background who is looking for a new challenge and new responsibilities? A new engine type to learn? Looking to diversify and get involved with some non-Powerplant activities? Or, are you a motivated and experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer who is looking to diversify within Technical Services?
The successful candidate will be our sole Technical Engineer – Powerplant, working within a small team of Technical Engineers. You will be managing all aspects of the maintenance and continued airworthiness management of the airline’s engine, APU and nacelle activities, from line maintenance support and workshop oversight through to management of key suppliers and financial budgets. You’ll get to represent the organisation at meetings and conferences with those suppliers at a variety of worldwide destinations and type training will be available to anybody unfamiliar with the engines and equipment operated by BA CityFlyer.
In addition, the BA CityFlyer Technical Engineering Team is also responsible for providing base maintenance oversight and delivering new aircraft into the business. Our maintenance is carried out across the UK and Europe and we have delivered aircraft from all over the world, with four more deliveries planned for 2019. You will be involved in these projects alongside your Airworthiness, Avionic and Airframe colleagues to ensure the continued successful delivery of these aircraft to our business.
What we can offer: you can expect to receive a competitive salary, company pension, a variety of leisure discounts as well as a generous company concessionary travel scheme across British Airways worldwide network.
