AV/Elec Technician

RAF Valley, Anglesey

Salary: £23,938.40 plus shift premium

About the role

Here at Babcock we are currently recruiting an AV/Elec Technician.

This role will operate on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 12 hours duration; 12:00 noon to 12 midnight, which will attract a shift premium in addition to stated salary.

You will be required to ensure all trade tasks pertinent to the maintenance, rectification and preparation of our aircrafts.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out all authority level B tasks that do not require additional authorization criteria- subject to any limitations imposed by the authorising authority
  • Fulfil the limitations imposed as defined in the SQEP for this grade.
  • Carry out first signature responsibilities
  • Sign 1st signature for tasked work within trade boundary
  • Carry out all authority level D tasks that do not require additional authorization criteria - subject to any limitations imposed by the authorizing authority EFO Operator to meet exceptional requirements
  • Carry out self-supervised maintenance activities within own trade
  • Maintain aircraft armament system (electrical)

What do I need to do the role?

You'll need to have industry experience and have completed a Basic Trade Principles course.

What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
