CONTINGENT UPON AWARD OF CONTRACT
The Assistant Project Manager shall have documented aviation heavy/depot maintenance for a large cargo multi mission, multi-engine fixed wing aircraft with management and supervision of depot level maintenance. U.S. Government experience is preferred. The Assistant Project Manager shall organize, direct, and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract support activities under the guidance of the Project Manager. The Assistant Project Manager shall interface with government personnel to resolve engineering and production issues and act as the alternate liaison with the Contracting Officer and on-site COR for all contractual performance requirements.
Applies SPI and CPI methodologies in the oversight of the scheduling and execution of C-130H and C-130J PSI on a cost and schedule basis.
Acts as the primary Coordinator for activities involving Engineering Technical support, to include Engineering Investigations.
Coordinates and measures subcontractor compliance and performance to ensure all CDRLs are met.
• Bachelor's degree plus 6 years aviation heavy/depot maintenance experience for a multi-engine fixed wing aircraft, 2 of which must be in a Leadership and/or Management role OR Associate’s plus 8 years aviation heavy/depot maintenance experience for a multi-engine fixed wing aircraft, 4 of which must be in a Leadership and/or Management role OR High School Diploma plus 10 years aviation heavy/depot experience for a multi-engine fixed wing aircraft, 6 of which must be in a Leadership and/or Management role.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in aircraft hangar environment. Must be able to climb/board aircraft. Must be able to bend, stoop, balance, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp. Must be able to walk for long distances moving from one work site to another. Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as for typing. Must be able to communicate effectively. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to lift/maneuver up to 20 pounds. Must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects or small parts. Must be able to work in extreme heat. Will be subject to noise and hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat. Subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. Must be able to work in narrow aisles or passageways.
