General responsibilities of the position: • As planned in the Progression Program, perform the simplest of the department’s operations in order to assemble, install, test, disassemble, audit and visually and dimensionally inspect a wide variety of parts and engines as well as their configuration.
• Observe the process and results of assembly and tests performed by others in order to witness compliance with standards.
• Perform related and general duties.
• Keep equipment and work station clean and in good working condition, and participate and lead continuous improvement projects.

Specific responsibilities of position: • Follow the procedures in place to ensure product integrity, details and operational costs;
• Being part of a mixed team of experts in assembly, test cell and inspection;
• Validate the effectiveness of the tools, methodology and equipment and participate in their validation;
• Technical training on engines.

Qualifications required: • Holds a:
- Vocational diploma (DEP) in mechanical assembly;
- College studies (AEC/DEC) in aircraft maintenance;
- Mechanical aircraft engines technician (military diploma);
- College diploma (DEC) aerospace engineering
• Fluent in French (written and verbal) - knowledge of English considered an asset;
• Knowledge of aircraft engine assembly methods and procedures including fits and tolerances;
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and gauges, hand tools used by mechanics and other special assembly equipment;
• Ability to work from complicated assembly drawings and specifications and test instructions requiring the use of shop mathematics.

Field of studies: Aeronautics

Additional Information: Before being invited for interview, candidates must first pass a theoretical and practical test.
