On behalf of our client, a leading MRO in USA, we are seeking to recruit FAA A&P Mechanics for various contract positions. The role will see successful applicants working either in the Hanger or on the Line, and/or preparing aircraft for storage. To be considered, you must hold an FAA A&P Licence with experience on either Airbus/Boeing/Bombardier/Embraer/McDonnell Douglas aircraft, and have the right to live and work in USA without sponsorship

Requirements
 
  • FAA A&P Licence
  • Experience on either Airbus/Boeing/Bombardier/Embraer/McDonnell Douglas aircraft
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within aircraft maintenance
 
Essential Job Functions
 
  • Perform maintenance / inspection of hangared aircraft in heavy maintenance checks, of flightline/storage induction or reactivation and back shop repair/overhaul maintenance activities in accordance with applicable aircraft/component maintenance manuals, FAA regulations and Client policies and procedures.
  • Performs maintenance / inspection of aircraft components/ assemblies /systems during their assembly, installation and adjustment phases of incorporation onto an aircraft to ensure that the workmanship and materials conform to the aircraft manufacturers specifications and maintenance manual procedures.
  • Ensures that all work performed complies with applicable technical data, FAA regulations and the clients Aviation policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that all aircraft parts/components removed from an aircraft in work, that are to be routed to Technical Services, are documented by a valid job number and that the work scope is properly identified.
  • Responsible for the proper execution of parts tags attached to repairable, serviceable, or condemned parts.
  • Signs appropriate work cards or forms per Client policies and procedures.
  • Repairs-replaces and rebuilds aircraft structures such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing and hydraulic units.
  • Reads and interprets manufacturers’ and airlines’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, or other defects.
  • Repairs or replaces defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft.
  • Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft including, general servicing cleaning, greasing, moving parts, and checking brakes.
  • Enforces company policies and safety regulations and the proper use of equipment and ensures that quality and safety standards are met.
  • Performs maintenance duties away from base on temporary duty.
  • Performs maintenance work such as repair and maintenance of company equipment and shop housecleaning.
  • Ensure that all work performed is done in a safe manner. Directs activities to protect employees from harm and maintain safe working conditions.
