United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. The Customer Service organization provides complete aftermarket solutions for Military and Commercial products, which includes; spare parts and LRU's (Line Replaceable Units), upgrades, retrofits, repairs, Performance Based Logistic (PBL) Programs for US and Foreign Military and Commercial platforms.
The Customer Service organization is seeking an experienced Aftermarket Sales Operations Senior Manager. The Aftermarket Sales Operations Senior Manager will work within the central Customer Service Sales Operation team. The Aftermarket Sales Operations Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the development of cross business unit proposal pursuit efforts, improving the proposal process, supporting proposal negotiations, conducting market trends forecast, and analyzing our competitive advantages. This includes the identification of potential proposal process changes, conducting team integration activities, developing and implementing standard work, identifying best practice, maximizing process efficiency in order to support functional success, and aligning with UTAS requirements. Responsible within the Aftermarket for generation and coordination of presentations and other materials in support of UTAS and Customer requests as required. Support efforts to continue our standard operating system (ACE) at UTAS.
Primary responsibilities include:
* Manage cross functional teams formed to create aftermarket proposals
* Coordinate proposal strategy and competitive landscape analysis
* Develop and obtain UTAS business unit alignment for proposal process changes
* Support the development of strategic direction for Aftermarket Sales Operations
* Develop and implement global proposal standard work
The successful candidate will have experience in proposal preparation, market research and trends, capture strategy, business forecasting along with a broad knowledge of Aerospace products and technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience interfacing with customers and senior leadership to develop strategies that support business unit competiveness and customer goals. Required skills include business development experience, a technical background or strong familiarity with the Aerospace Market, good written and verbal communication, strong project management and strong presentation skills.
Bachelors in Technical or Business related field required with 6-8 years of progressive experience in analytics, marketing, and business development. MBA preferred.
