Role Summary:
ATO is responsible for introducing future technologies and engine programs through the development design and build process. The role of ATO will lead contractual fulfillment with dedicated suppliers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. This role will be responsible for coordinating key delivery and milestone plans between engineering and suppliers.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, the ATO (Advanced Technology Sourcing Lead Delivery Specialist) will:

* Work with engineering customer and supplier to hit key milestones to deliver on-time to customer need

* Work with supplier to ensure they deliver product that conforms to design intent

* Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier

* Work closely with suppliers on amendments for Concurrent Product Development (CPD) in support of the customer’s requirements

* Ability to scan the market to find and assess new suppliers to support our needs

* Manage any delivery related issues including receiving, quality, payment, internal shipment needs

* Develops new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

* Ability to comfortably work on cross-functional teams to deliver products and communicate effectively with business leadership at SPB and EB levels

* Actively participate in supplier performance reviews

* Collaborating with production sourcing and engineering teams in advance to optimize transition of hardware from ATO to production environment

* Strong project management skills to lead engineering, manufacturing programs and supplier to effectively deliver to customer need date

* Performs on-site supplier assessments

* Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects

* Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done

* Advises Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures within own field

* Contributes to project as a team member or leads small projects

* Develop part cost estimates from engineering blueprints and solid model definition

* Could include purchasing activities

The ATO may also be responsible for :

* Define and improve Sourcing strategies at business or plant level

* May also include management of regional & business teams

* Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

* Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects

* Work together with high level people from the business at SPB and EB level

* Specify needs, communicate about project approach and present outcomes of research done

* Provide technical / commercial assistance to Commodity Buyers to develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge

* Actively participate in supplier performance reviews

* Advise Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures within own field

* Contribute to project as a team member or leads small projects


* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Sourcing)

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in commodity management, project management, supplier quality, sourcing, materials, engineering or manufacturing

Desired Characteristics:

* Experience with the systems that support sourcing (i.e. IMPACT, ACES, SSS, etc.)

* Knowledge of sourcing applications and policies

* Willingness to get military clearance if needed

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

* Ability to influence others and lead small teams

* Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact

* Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously

* Effective problem identification and solution skills

* Proven analytical and organizational ability
