SQUADRON PROGRAMMER - 23 MONTH CONTRACT

First People Aviation are looking to recruit a Squadron Programmer for a 23 month contract position based in Elgin.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Creating and issuing the weekly flying programme whilst being able to adapt quickly to ensure the Squadron’s flying task is met.
  • Coordinating between Engineers, OC Training and OC Mission Support Flight to ensure that the requirements of both the aircraft and crew are met
  • Management of live and synthetic hours in accordance with the training syllabus.
  •  Assist with monitoring budgetary expenditure.
  • Manage all scheduled work is completed within agreed timescales.
  • Lead and manage the team, including dealing with any recruitment, sickness absence and undertaking appraisals in order with performance guidelines.
  • Oversee negotiations with clients and sub-contractors to ensure that correct processes are followed and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Provide support to team leaders, operatives and other members of staff when required.

Ideally applicants will come from an Operations Management, Crew Scheduling or Flight Planning background. A military Flight Operations Officer/Manager or Civilian Dispatcher background will also be considered.

Please note that being SC Cleared is essential for this role.

This position falls within IR35 and offers and attractive daily rate paid through an Umbrella payroll solution.
