British Airways Jobs

British Airways is one of the UK’s best loved brands, serving 36 million passengers a year. It’s a leading light in global aviation, employing over 40,000 people and operating over 300,000 flights a year. BA is part of International Airlines Group (IAG) which also owns Spanish carrier Iberia.

The airline has a Head Office at London Heathrow and is the airport’s major operator with approximately 50% of flights to and from the airport. There’s also a significant presence at London Gatwick, while BA’s wholly owned subsidiary BA CityFlyer is the largest operator at London City Airport. BA also has two franchise partners - Comair based in South Africa, and Sun Air based in Denmark.

There are many job opportunities at British Airways for cabin crew, pilots, technical engineers and head office and airport support workers. Around 1,500 cabin crew and 3,500 pilots work for the airline, and there is also a large workforce within World Cargo.

British Airways Engineering

British Airways Engineering is one of the world's leading aircraft maintenance businesses, boasting over 80 years of experience in providing full support for the entire British Airways fleet - over 300 aircraft making an average of 1,000 flights a day. Products and services are also used by other airlines, and range from total support packages for entire fleets, to component overhaul and aircraft painting. There are over 2,000 highly skilled engineers providing technical and logistics expertise around the world, setting the standard for responsible aviation.

Students and Graduates

As you’d expect, BA offers fantastic student and graduate opportunities. School leavers are taken on each year as engineering apprentices, and for graduates there are personal development programmes including Leaders for Business, IT, Engineering, World Cargo, and more.

For all its employees, British Airways aims to provide opportunities and support so that individuals can develop a career that lets them be inspired, innovative and outstanding.
