Babcock-MCS

About

Babcock Design and Completions – delivering helicopter mission systems custom-designed for the most demanding of roles.

Babcock International Group is the UK’s leading engineering support services company, delivering complex and critical projects, both in the UK and overseas.

The unparalleled expertise of our 35,000 global employees means that – whether designing, building, operating, managing, or maintaining vital assets - Babcock is a partner that can be trusted to deliver.

Babcock Mission Critical Services operates hundreds of aircraft.  Whether it’s saving lives, fighting crime or keeping the UK’s oil and gas fields working, our expertise in air support operations is formidable.

But our aircraft do more than just fly. They are painstakingly designed to execute specific and demanding missions in testing circumstances, where safety is paramount and where lives and livelihoods depend on mission success.

Our Design and Completions teams have a growing reputation for creating bespoke helicopters that regularly set the pace for mission-critical operations worldwide. Air ambulances carrying blood and incubators; specialist tools for working on high-voltage power lines or wind turbines; bespoke mission-systems suites for police operations. These are just a few examples of our work.

And as our reputation grows, so does our list of customers. Today in the UK we provide services for, among others, National Police Air Service (NPAS), National Grid, Dong Energy and the majority of the UK’s Air Ambulance charities.

We spearhead new designs, champion new technologies, create and certify new capabilities and offer comprehensive through-life support. We work with leading edge airborne equipment including advanced sensors and mission computers on a range of aircraft types from airborne law enforcement to air ambulances and we offer the chance to be part of the full project life cycle including specification, design, integration, certification, flight testing and support.

We are trusted to deliver – both for our customers and for our people.

Working for Babcock means working for a FTSE100 company with credibility, stability and prospects. Our talent and development programmes are designed to help people make the most of their careers with us.

Travel in support of customers in Norway, Italy and across the UK is occasionally required.
