Job Description
Certification Engineer
Our client is a world leader in business aviation services across the world. The company provides maintenance, completions and refurbishment, engineering, fixed base operations, along with aircraft management, charter services, aircraft sales and personnel services.

Review of aircraft documentation and coordination of all required validation tasks for imported and exported aircrafts (EASA/FAA)
Preparation of Classification of Design Changes; STC Application; Certification Plan; Certification Compliance Sheets (JAR 25 / CS 25 / FAR 25); Issue Papers; Test Plan; Master Data List; Approvals; Compilation of STC packages for submittal to Authorities for approval
Ensure that programme Certification basis, interpretation of rules, and Means of Compliance are appropiate for the product, whilst maintaining adequate levels of safety
Verification of documents published within the engineering department which are required by the applicable regulations prior to the review by the Compliance Verification Engineers
Coordination of Certification Projects (Outfitting and Modifications) between Jet Aviation Basel Engineering Department: Sub-Contractors; Compliance Verification Engineers; DERs and Air Authorities
Responsible to keep a good communication with Air Authorities and to ensure a smooth working relation
Perform JAR OPS 1 (EU OPS) aircraft and data review for operators
Liaise with FOCA for DOA issues
Qualification/Experience
Qualification as an Engineer, i.e. several years of education and experience in the fields of aviation engineering and design
Experience in the various approval procedures would be appreciated (EASA Part 21 / CS / JAR / FAR)
Good communications skills in English (spoken and written). German or French in addition will be an advantage
Basics in quality management systems would be appreciated
