Our Client, a large Ground Handling Agent at Gatwick Airport are looking for Baggage Handlers/Ramp Agents to work during the summer season of 2012.
WE ARE ADVERTISING NOW IN PREPARATION FOR THE START OF THE COURSES WHICH COMMENCE IN FEBRUARY/MARCH 2012. HOWEVER, IF YOUR CV IS SUCCESSFUL WE WILL BE CALLING YOU WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF RECEIVING YOUR CV.
As a Baggage Handler/Ramp Agent you will need to be physically strong because you will be expected to lift heavy loads for extended periods of time.
You will be required to work shift work because the airport will be active 24/7, working nights, holidays, weekends. The shifts will be discussed with you at interview stage.
You will be expected to work outside in all conditions ranging from the cold and windy weather of January to the heat of July and August.
Baggage Handlers/Ramp Agents form part of a team and the ability to work and communicate well with colleagues is essential.
Duties will be loading and unloading baggage from the aircraft hold, attaching stairs, operating ground machinery as required and preparing for aircraft arrival and departure.
REQUIREMENTS:-
Must have a Full UK Driving Licence
We must be able to reference you for the last 5 years.
Must be able to pass a colour blind test
Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, in all weathers, at all times of the day.
Must have easy access to Gatwick Airport
Current and valid passport and proof of your National Insurance Number.
