Job Description
Morson Wynnwith are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer to work on a long term temporary assignment for GKN in Broughton, Chester. The purpose of the role is to ensure assurance processes are deployed effectively within a project and manufacturing environment. This involves leading the implementation of advanced quality planning activities and co-ordinating quality assurance activities across multi-functional teams.
Key Accountabilities
* Lead the development and deployment of Advanced Quality Planning Activities
* Liaising with other Manufacturing Quality functions to co-ordinate assurance activities
* Variation reduction activities
* Continuous Quality Systems Improvement
* Process Qualification Support
* Production part approval, through First Article Inspection (EN9102) facilitation
* Customer specification and requirements verification
* Support for Operator training
* Non-Confformance management processes (including)
Internal
Customer concerns management
Concession - Quality Approval Signatory
Supplier Performance
* Performance reporting the progress and results of all activitiesundertaken to personnel within Manufacturing Quality, other support functions and operational areas
Key Attributes - Essential
* Flexibility in working as a committed team-player in a fast paced customer-focused environment
* Applicants should be educated to HND level or above or be able to demonstrate experience to an equivalent depth/breadth
* Practical knowledge of manufacturing and quality management systems
* In-depth experience in a quality assurance role within a projects environment
* Experience with advanced quality planning principles, ideally within a QS900/TS16949 environment
* Extensive knowledge of:
Manufacturing process flow charts
Process FMEA
Control plans (inspection and certification controls)
Measurement systems evaluation
Process capability syudies
* Indepth experience with problem solving
* Effective communication skills for liaising among a wide range of people and departments both internal and external to the company at all levels
Key Attributes Desirable
* Technical Apprenticeship in a mechanical engineering environment
* Experience with EASA Requirements,Part 21 Subpart G
* Working knowledge of SPC and deployment of quality tools and techniques
* Experience with administrating a quality management system, ideally within EN9100
* Quality Management System and product audits experience
* Experience of composite manufacture and Aerospace assembly
