*********************This position is located in Madison, MS******************The Quality Manager is responsible for productively directing the full range of Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Assurance activities across the company's commercial, military aircraft and logistics programs. Implements and maintains a corporate QMS that meets or exceeds the standards required by our customer and the company. Coordinates company quality assurance functions concerning technical data, maintenance analysis, material quality and maintenance quality. Utilizes cost-effective measures to resolve problem areas and maintains a department that sets the standards for professional excellence. Essential functions include but are not limited to the following duties:1. Directs Company QMS processes and activities2. Directs Company QA processes and activities3. QMS/EMS internal audits, investigations and problem solving4. Continuous improvement projects/initiatives5. Develops quality programs/systems for new business6. Audits quality systems to ensure compliance7. Direct/lead quality organization8. Prepares budgets, develops long range plans and strategies and oversees the distribution of resources to include manpower, for the corporate quality department, including the QMS and QAfunctions9. Assures compliance with QMS10. Assures company products maintained at the highest service level11. Actively supports and promotes the company's continuous process improvement initiatives12. Acts as the company's principle advisor on ISO 9000/ AS9100EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited four (4) year college or university and ten (10) years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry with a minimum of (5) years experience in quality control/assuranceMinimum 5 years managerial experienceCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Lean/Six Sigma Certification desirable
