Job Description
Parc Aviation on behalf of our client Air Astana is seeking a very experienced operations professional to fulfil the role of Flight Operations Engineering Consultant.
The successful highly motivated candidate for this non flying role will implement a fully functioning Performance Engineer role at Air Astana. The role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources by determining optimum takeoff and landing performance for all fleets.
- Implementation and maintaining of a fuel monitoring/tankering and analysis program.
- Investigate & implement new efficient ways of aircraft operation in response to specific problems to improve performance.
- Maintaining control over the aircraft FMS databases and ensuring new company routes are incorporated and tested promptly.
- Publish performance-related data for distribution to all stakeholders.
- Support documentation for Extended Range operations, Oxygen requirement calculations, statistical analysis & route studies
- Analyse and evaluate operational and regulatory publications and documents as well as changes thereto, to determine possible effect on aircraft performance data and aircraft operations as a result thereof
- Manage/Perform/Co-ordinate projects as required to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Liaise with aircraft manufacturers and software suppliers to maintain operational effectiveness with regards to performance related issues.
- Development of training material for courses, observe unit standards and assess outcome of training programmes for the airline
Personal Requirements:
Tertiary Education (Graduate) with a minimum of 5 years management experience in companies of over 50 employees
Role Requirements:
The Job will require knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- 5 years exposure and advanced participation in:
- Aircraft Dispatching
- Supervisory Role
- Weight and balance
- Advanced Aircraft performance analysis
- ICAO Flight dispatcher course - phase 1 & 2 or FAA/JAR Aircraft dispatcher
- Must be familiar with aircraft performance software:
- PEP - Airbus
- BPS - Boeing
- High PC Literacy
- Excellent spoken and written English communication

This is a full time non flying role offering a direct one year (rolling) contract with Air Astana
