Job Description
An experienced Commercial Manager is required for a 6 month contract role based in Stevenage, paying Circa £35.00 p/hr Limited Company Rate.
Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of satellite systems. Their activities cover complete civil and military telecommunications and Earth observation systems, science and navigation programmes, together with avionics and a wide range of space equipment and associated ground infrastructure.

Outline of role
Employed within the Contracts and Commercial function of Paradigm, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for the preparation, negotiation and execution of new contracts as directed, including flow-down to associated sub-contractors, and support to the wider Telecom Services group.
The Commercial Manager will be required to provide back fill resource, supporting third party bids.
Responsibilities
Provide all contractual / commercial support to the business development teams including the preparation, negotiation and execution of new customer contracts and all other commercial contractual agreements.
Manage and direct the commercial /contractual matters during the bid phase including issuance of RFPs to potential subcontractors/suppliers.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements whilst providing guidance and advice to the project teams.
Provide guidance, support and advice to the project team to enable them to meet the company process and procedures including phase reviews and vetting.
Responsible for ensuring that all commercial/contractual risks are reported and managed within the project(s).
Qualifications and experience required
Solid experience within the commercial field as a Commercial Manager managing contracts and terms and conditions.
Experience of dealing with the Government or the Military/ within a Service Industry.
Educated to degree level or equivalent ideally including elements of law.
Capable of delivering high workload without supervision and with attention to detail.
Proven ability to achieve results with senior management through influence and persuasion
Good negotiation and contract management skills
