Job Description

Brookwood Aviation has been asked to provide a Quality Manager for a well known client who is based in Hampshire.


Purpose:

To monitor Base Maintenance (including modifications) and maintenance carried out at other locations in accordance with MIL 145, AvP 67, EASA Part 145, ISO 9000 / AS 9100 and other associated requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with applicable Regulatory Authorities on matters relating to approvals and compliance with Regulatory Requirements
  • Management, compilation and execution of the company audit system in conjunction with Clients Quality, including non-conformance levels and corrective/preventative actions.
  • Performance of Internal audits of the company premises, facilities, processes and procedures in accordance with MIL 145, AvP 67, EASA Part 145 and ISO 9000 / AS 9100.
  • Performance of 2nd Party/Supplier audits and maintaining a controlled Supplier Database.
  • Management and development of Company Quality Manuals, Expositions and Procedures.
  • Management, control & issue of Technical (Engineering) Authorisations.
  • To support the Continuing Airworthiness / Technical Records in the assessment of Airworthiness Directives / UTI's / RTI's and Service Bulletins from all relevant regulatory bodies (MoD, EASA, CAA, FAA etc.).
  • To assist the Continuing Airworthiness in the management of airworthiness data and ensure that all required inspections/work are carried out in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • To support the Maintenance Manager in all matters relating to maintenance & operations for contracted aircraft, including Hanger Capacity Planning.
  • Management and control of the companies Technical Library.
  • To ensure that all Work-Packs' are compiled in the correct method according to company procedures and that work is completed in accordance with regulatory & procedural requirements.
  • To compile or assist with any project management task required within the company.
  • To assist the Continuing Airworthiness in the compilation all regulatory documentation pertaining to aircraft Certificate of Airworthiness issues, ARC renewals and validity of MoD Form 50's.
  • Management of applications to Regulatory Authorities for new approvals and active involvement in the evaluation and preparation process for such approvals.
  • To assist the Engineering Director, Maintenance Manager and Continuing Airworthiness in the effective resolution of any problems or issues relating to aspects of company business
  • Investigation of defect and or customer complaints, documenting and report writing as required.
  • Raising of DFSOR's and Occurrence Reports and submission to Regulatory Authorities and Stakeholders
  • Management of the companies Calibration System in accordance with Company Procedures.
  • Representing the Quality Department at meetings as may be required.
  • To not endanger themselves or others by the use of unsafe working practices.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the tasks and responsibilities of the position.
