Job Description

Description ·         Troubleshoot and repair machine breakdowns, mechanical and electrical. ·         Effect repairs to machinery including but not limited to replacing machine parts such as belts and bearings, replacing wear parts on braiders, replacing fuses. ·         Adheres to lockout/tagout procedures. ·         Implement preventive maintenance program. ·         Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning air filters on machines, lubricating machines, checking chains on hoists and replacing light bulbs. ·         Fabricate simple machine parts on the lathe or milling machine. ·         Perform simple welding tasks. ·         Assists with installation of new equipment. ·         Ensure that factory equipment is operating in a safe condition, including but not limited to checking the proper operation of overhead hoists, ensuring that proper machine guards are in place and ensuring that safety interlocks are operational.
Requirements 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment.  Wire and Cable a plus.  No certifications are required. PLC training (Allen Bradley) would be ideal. Any welding skills, Bridgeport, Lathe experience ect.
