Aircraft Painter Position
Experienced Aircraft Painters are needed to assist with Painting Commercial Aircraft for our client in Lake City, FL.
Aircraft Painter Position Job Description:
Aircraft Painters work independently to safely prepare, paint, and detail aircraft according to schedule using company quality standards and operating procedures.
Aircraft Painter Position Job Responsibilities:
- Safely perform aircraft preparation, painting, and detailing of aircraft under minimal supervision.
- Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality inspection.
- Promote high standards of quality through instruction and by setting a good example for others to follow.
- Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment such as dual action sanders, hydraulic lift platforms, and paint sprayers.
- Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
- Follow standard operating procedures when using sealants, paint strippers, and corrosion-preventive chemicals and use protective equipment as required.
- Comply with safety rules and procedures and be alert for unsafe conditions.
- Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk.
- Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and to sign off on work.
Aircraft Painter Position Additional Responsibilities:
- Comply with Paint Shop standards and practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required.
Qualified Candidates For Aircraft Painter Position Will Have The Following Education/Experience:
- 2 years of experience as an Aviation Aircraft Painter is required.
- 6 of 24 months of recent experience as an Aviation Aircraft Painter is required.
- Commercial Aircraft experience is required.
- Must be able to use electrostatic paint guns.
- Advanced knowledge of paint processes and products (lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics) is necessary.
Other Qualifications And Physical Requirements For Aircraft Painter Position Include:
- The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
- Able to pass Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certification.
