Job Description

Parc Aviation on behalf of our client Qatar Airways is looking to recruit Materials Planning & Control Engineers for permanent positions.

Qatar Airways currently operate one of the youngest and most modern fleets in the industry. By 2013, Qatar Airways will have increased their fleet to 110 aircraft.
We invite applications for the following position to be based in Doha, Qatar.

Materials Planning & Control Engineers

Responsible for all aspects of Material Planning on a assigned specific aircraft Fleet Types including Supervision of a dedicated Materials Planning team.
The co-ordinating of all Materials Planning requirements in support of scheduled, non-scheduled and cabin standards maintenance activity. This includes initial provisioning, re-provisioning, interaction and expediting of related tasks with respect to other Technical Departments, aircraft manufacturers, suppliers and other Supply Chain Team members in the respective Purchasing, Repair and Supplier Monitoring group. The ultimate objective being that the Fleet type is supported in terms of materials requirements for both Line and Base Maintenance requirements and the consistent review of performance and control of related projects. This will include initial provisioning projects for airframe and engine spares, Ground servicing equipment and tooling. Overall Management of planning materials requirements for an aircraft and engine type in support of modifications, reconfigurations and ad-hoc maintenance requirements and other special projects in support of the Supply Chain Department.

Qualifications:

Minimum Experience:

Essential:
- University Degree in Science or Engineering Discipline

Preferred:
- Aeronautical Engineering or Materials Management Qualification

Previous Experience:

Essential:
- 5 years or more Materials planning experience, specifically Inventory Planning  in aviation.

Preferred:
- Previous experience as an engineer within an airline or MRO Materials Planning department.
- Initial and/or re-provisioning experience for fleet.
- Previous Supervisory experience will be an added advantage.
- Attendance in Materials training courses from an aircraft manufacturer or OEM in the past five years.
