Job Description

Stress Engineers are required to work for one of the world leaders in the design and manufacture of satellite systems, based in Portsmouth.

My client will consider graduates with a strong degree at a lower rate.

Outline Job Profile:
Perform structural analysis of payload components.
Analyse for performance against random vibration and thermoelastic environments to validate designs or propose new variants.
Reports findings in meetings and written reports.
Qualifications and/or Skills:
Essential: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar with focus on stress engineering principles.
Desirable: Knowledge of Nastran/ Femap/ Abacus/ Ansys/ Patran
Previous Experience:
Essential: Finite Element Analysis experience. Analysis of dynamic and thermoelastic problems. Work in aerospace or other high technology industries.
