Job Description

Lead/Senior Stress Engineers

AircraftEngineers.co.uk has been instructed to source Lead/Senior Stress Engineers for long term contract opportunities based in France.

As a Lead/Senior Stress Engineer you would be responsible for of a team of engineers carrying out analysis for the structural analysis integrity, ensuring that recommendations on design changes (based on analysis) and analysis of primary and secondary structures are correctly fulfilled.

Key Skills
* Educated to a degree or equivalent level in Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering or Stress Engineering experience
* Team lead and mentoring experience (demonstrable)
* Candidates with experience in stress analysis in areas such as aircraft (will be given primary consideration), automotive, nuclear energy, power stations, large marine, oil rigs, pipe will be considered
* Need to be able to oversee and perform technical assessments and produce technical reports
* Lean Engineering
* Finite Element Analysis experience is a must - essentially Static and/or Fatigue & DT analyses
* Nastran and Patran
* Experienced in the ability to carry out hand calculations
* F&DT experience would be beneficial
* Composite analysis would be desirable and for some positions a must
