Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Aircraft Loads Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy supporting a wide range of aerospace engineering companies.

As a result of sustained growth within the company's Aerospace Sector we are now seeking
to recruit within the Loads & Aerodynamics group. In this role the candidate will work within a team responsible for all aspects of aircraft loads analysis, including ground, flight and component loads.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or higher (preferably Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering) with a proven track record in aircraft loads analysis. The candidate should understand the methods that are employed in both aircraft aerodynamic and structural modelling.

The candidate should also be able to
lead a group of engineers, have good interpersonal skills, clear report writing ability and able to respond successfully to demanding customer conditions. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the relevant certification standards and means of compliance including BCAR, EASA and FAA regulations.

Software tool capability and skills including knowledge of Matlab, FORTRAN and Microsoft Office will be an advantage.

Key Accountabilities:
Take technical control of projects including managing other engineers and ensure that projects achieve their full objectives.
Provide engineering analysis and simulation support to projects ensuring customer expectations are met.
Interact with internal and external customers on a technical level. Preparation, presentation and
approval of technical reports and proposals.
Transfer of knowledge between customer/team/consultants to maximise the technical capability of the group

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
Experience in the calculation of aircraft loads covering flight, ground and component loads including model build, verification and validation
Proven ability to handle complex technical problems and provide solutions
Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills
Experience in approval of technical documentation
An ability to manage multiple tasks, to work independently when required, and the organisation and drive to follow through to a successful outcome
Production of technical reports, scoping of new projects and production of technical proposals.
Awareness of certification processes and procedures
Working to EN/AS9100.
