Job Description

My client is a leading Aerospace manufacturing company. They are currently looking for an experienced Engineering Manager. Your responsibilities include;
Manage daily, all engineers (design & certification), with support from lead engineer and Certification Manager
Responsible for designs within Integrated Project Teams for all OEM and Aftermarket projects/programmes
Training, coaching and developing all engineers
Capacity planning all workload within the department
Ensure all designs packages are delivering BOM, weight, build hour and milestone targets
Design and approve galley structures drawings
Ensure the shop floor are supported by engineering, resolving issues and improving the design to minimize build hrs and BOM costs
Develop the systems and procedures within the department to create a 'Lean' environment supporting the approach of minimal lead-time for NPI and HoV
Ensure innovation is at the forefront of all engineering solutions

The suitable applicant will possess an engineering background in aircraft products gained in the design office of an aerospace component manufacturer and have a working knowledge of one of the current 3D design software packages.
Familiarity with FAA and EASA regulations is essential and Boeing and Airbus working practices would be expected.
