Job Description

Manufacturing and Materials Engineer

Technology is one of the main factors of our customer success. To this end we have an enthusiastic team of engineers who provide product support for new build products as well as for repair and overhaul of the products. This team also manages technical complex processes.

As a Manufacturing and Materials Engineer at our customer, your job is to maintain the special processes used within manufacturing:

creating and maintaining accurate documentation of specifications and instructions
qualify and guide manufacturing personnel
specify and guide investments
assess deviations

To provide support to the Engineering department with regard to materials:

material selection with reference to product development
analyze failed materials

To provide support to the Procurement Department with regard to supply chain management:
qualify vendors
qualify materials
resolve quality problems

Requirements:

Bachelor or University degree in Mechanical Engineering with an interest in the field of:

special processes (surface treatment; degreasing, welding/soldering)
materials science (heat treatment, material selection)
non-machining production methods (casting, forging)

The person we are looking for has an interest in abovementioned fields and is prepared to specialize in these fields. Relevant work experience is an advantage, though not necessary. The ability to independently grasp new knowledge is more important. Keep in mind that the job entails understanding and writing of complex documents in the English language. This requires a meticulous and systematic approach and excellent communication skills in the English language.
